Accounting Manager (On-Site | West San Fernando Valley)

We're working with a well-established, growing organization headquartered in the West San Fernando Valley that's looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Payable.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, improving processes, and building a high-performing team in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations with primary ownership of full-cycle, high-volume Accounts Payable
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to AP, accruals, and general ledger accuracy
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Drive AP process improvements and automation initiatives in collaboration with systems/IT teams
- Maintain strong internal controls and support internal/external audits
- Coach, develop, and oversee AP and accounting staff while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA strongly preferred)
- 3-5+ years of progressive GAAP accounting experience with significant hands-on AP and monthly close management
- Proven people-management and supervisory experience
- Deep, hands-on experience managing high-volume corporate AP - multi-location and multi-entity experience is a big plus
- ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) & Advanced Excel skills
Why This Role
- Compensation: $130,000-$140,000 base salary + annual bonus

- Work Environment: Primarily on-site (Calabasas area) with limited remote flexibility
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (40+ hours; occasional overtime as needed)
